Projects
Explore all of our different projects and accompanying resources - from small hymn albums to the EveryPsalm collection.
As Foretold: Part 1
Filling in the space between our Firstborn (Jesus’ birth) and Golgotha (Jesus’ death) projects, As Foretold is a three-album series focusing on the life of Christ. For its framework, we looked exclusively at the prophetic fulfillment passages from the Gospel of Matthew. The result is a scripture heavy journey through Jesus’ life.

As Foretold: Part 3

EveryPsalm
EveryPsalm is a collection of psalm-based songs. Starting at Psalm 1 and ending at Psalm 150, we released a meditative song each week for nearly three years. All the music is freely available to listen, download, or stream. The Psalter speaks to the entirety of the human experience - from feelings of triumph to loss, from communion with God to utter loneliness. The poetic nature of the Psalms lay the groundwork for its captivating beauty. Our goal in this project is to help listeners engage with the scriptures in new ways, and to bring God’s relevant and applicable word to both the normal and extraordinary times of life.
Hymns I
We’ve always had a deep appreciation for traditional church music. We both grew up in church contexts where hymn singing was the primary form of musical worship, and it has felt natural for us to record some of our favorite sacred pieces over the years. These four traditional hymns were recorded for the CCEF Pastor's Conference and were released in July of 2021. This is an ongoing project, so be on the lookout for further releases!
Hymns II
These five traditional hymns for Advent were released in November of 2021 as the second installment of our ongoing Hymns project. The album was born out of our appreciation for these Christmas masterpieces, as these songs have consistently helped turn our hearts to gratitude and worship each Advent season.
Firstborn
For centuries the church has been celebrating Advent both with thankfulness for the first coming of Christ as a child, and anticipation for His return. Firstborn attempts to help its listeners do both of those things better. A collection of art (music, illustration, video, and writing), Firstborn uses the familiar tradition of Advent’s weekly themes as its guide, but embraces these topics in some not-so-common ways. Beginning with a look at Jesus long before his birth, then focusing on the prophetic fulfillment, miraculous encounters, and often utter mystery that surrounds his incarnation, Firstborn takes shape as a powerful avenue for the people of God to encounter, appreciate, and meditate on who He truly is during the Christmas season.
The Bible speaks of Jesus as the "Firstborn" of many things. Colossians says He is the firstborn of creation. Romans calls him the firstborn of the church. Revelation says He is the firstborn of the dead. Amidst the Advent season, our prayer is that Jesus would again be made first in our lives. Our hope is that you would see and experience the well known story of Jesus’ birth in new ways.
Golgotha
Written and composed in 2014, we were inspired to write Golgotha to help the curious better understand the truth and importance of Jesus’ crucifixion. Complementing the beautiful visual history that surrounds the "Stations of the Cross" tradition, we wrote all fourteen scripture-based original songs in just a few days at a camp in southeast Kansas. The result is a collection of music that invites the mind and heart to experience the Savior’s suffering in new ways. With original music at its core, Golgotha uses powerful visuals, God’s Word, and guided prayer, to draw people nearer to Jesus.
Since its origin, Golgotha has become a full-fledged ministry, and has had a widespread spiritual impact on thousands of individuals around the world. We’ve been blessed to serve in a variety of settings - from living rooms and concert halls, to prisons and mega churches. Our prayer is that God would continue to use Golgotha for His purposes and for the strengthening of His people.
Foreign Made
Foreign Made was our first release, and is based entirely on the parables of Jesus. Eleven original songs come to life throughout the record telling unique stories from start to finish. The anecdotes together become a powerful picture of Jesus’ teachings. Its soundscape ranges from dark, contemplative melodies, to driving, string-band built ballads, all built to bring the lyrics into forefront prominence.
The Serpent & The Seed
The Serpent & The Seed is a mobile adventure game with a difference: an imaginative retelling of the world's greatest story. The creator of the game, Andy Geers, reached out to us in 2021 about writing a song for one of the theatrical moments in the game. What started as a conversation about one song soon became us committing to creating the entire score. We wrote 8 lyrical works and 27 instrumentals that accompany the player throughout the experience - encompassing the Biblical narrative from creation to Revelation. The instrumentals are unique in that they're loop-based. Since players have the opportunity to go through the game at their own pace, the music must in turn lend itself to repetition for varying lengths. Despite the abnormal (for us) parameters, we wanted to release these songs as an album because we know they bring beauty to the earth and give glory to God, even apart from the gameplay. You can learn more about the game and its makers at https://discipleship.tech/serpentseedgame/ if you're interested.
